Charlotte Hornets vs Brooklyn Nets:
BET ON UNDER 229.5 (1.40).
The Hornets’ offensive output has dipped quite a lot over the last few games. Last night they scored just 99 against the Grizzlies, which was their second game in a row failing to crack the century mark. Not having either Hayward or Rozier will hurt them, and I just can’t see them score at a high level without 2 of their best 3 players on the court.
Atlanta Hawks vs New Orleans Pelicans:
BET ON HAWKS (1.80).
Atlanta is a far better team at home than on the road, and that rang true last season as well.
The Hawks went out and added Murray to create one of the best backcourts in the NBA and also strengthened a clear defensive weakness as the new addition should be able to limit G CJ McCollum.
The Pelicans are coming off a high-pace home game and may struggle to slow down Young. Rest will play a factor here, and I believe Atlanta gets it done at home.
New York Knicks vs Boston Celtics:
BET ON OVER 219.5 (1.40).
Considering the Celtics haven’t defended well on the road and gave up 119 to Chicago last night, the Knicks could easily top 110.
New York has put up 115 or more in 3 of 4 home games and 130 or more in 2 of 4. The Celtics have the scoring prowess in Tatum and F Jaylen Brown to keep pace with New York.
Phoenix Suns vs Portland Trail Blazers:
BET OVER 210.5 (1.40).
The 2 games the Blazers and Suns have played have had totals of 214 in regulation and 224 in overtime.
The Blazers’ previous 4 games all had at least 217 points, and the Suns’ previous 5 games had as well.
